The confidence of the President
The office of the Senior Presidential Advisor on Agri Business and Value Addition Development exists to carry the President's programme into the country. This chapter sets out the charge the President has given, the service that answers it, and the sources in which each of them can be checked.

The charge, in the President’s own words
These are the President's own words, taken from the official record of his addresses. They are the terms on which the office is charged, and they are set out here so that the standard the office answers to is a matter of public record rather than of description.
In this Kisanja, I do not want any excuses. The challenge is socio-economic transformation. Peasants must disappear from Uganda; they must become either middle class or skilled middle class.
Exporting raw materials is a strategic blunder. Let us take gold as an example. If you export a kilogram of unprocessed gold, 84 percent pure, recently you have been getting USD 60,000, if the gold is processed to 99.9 percent purity, you get USD168,000. Look at the difference in value.
I am really sick and tired of parasitism and that is why I said, in this kisanja no more sleep.
In this kisanja, we are going to ensure all our people join, especially through agriculture, but also industry, skilling, and manufacturing.
As reported of him in person
Two lines in which the President is said to have spoken of him personally were reported at the time. They are set out here as a press report, and they are not part of any official State House release.
“Wherever he went and addressed public rallies among the urban poor, the President introduced him as his man in charge of value addition, youth development in agriculture and industrialisation.”

What the office says in return
The President sets the direction and the country sets the pace. The office exists to turn a directive into a demonstration farm, a skilling centre, a processing contract and a household income.
Everything published on this site is dated and sourced. That is not a formality. An office that carries the President's programme has to be able to show what it did, when it did it and where the record of it can be opened.
